How to create a backup of your home inventory database

Open “Add new item”.
Click on the “Data” option in the command bar.
From the data view, select the “Backup” option in the command bar.
Choose the “Generate backup” option.
This will create a backup of your entire inventory in the app’s own format. You can use this backup file to restore data back into the app.
You can also use this backup option to manually transfer data between different devices.

Here are some important things to keep in mind when backing up your inventory:

Backups can fail, although this is rare.
Before starting your backup, make sure that there is sufficient space on the hard drive. This step is especially important for large inventory databases that contain lots of high-resolution photos.
Always check to make sure that the backup file generated is a valid file and not zero-byte size.
In addition to creating a single backup file, you may also want to consider exporting your inventory to CSV data format.
