Use Case Examples
George's Book Store George runs a comic book store.
Product inventory setup:
George had been manually tracking his inventory using Excel and has a list of inventory available in CSV format. This gives him a head-start and allows him to quickly import his products into the app by going to "Add New Product" > Data > Import
A few brand new products just arrived, George manually creates new entries for his new inventory by going to "Add New Product"
With all products entered into the app, George's Checkout system is now up and running.
Create new transactions:
When a sale is made, George creates a new checkout transaction by going to "Create New Transaction"
For the first day of operation, George created 25 new checkout transactions.
Data backups: To prevent record loss, George creates regular backups of his business data.
To create a backup of product data, go to "Add New Product" > Data > Export
To create a backup of transaction data, go to "Create New Transaction" > Data > Export
Marianne's Knit Gallery Marianne sells beautiful knitted hats and gloves, her gallery also carries adorable sweaters for pets.
Product inventory setup:
Marianne enters her product names, prices and descriptions into the app by going to "Add New Product"
Create new transactions:
When a sale is made, Marianne creates a new checkout transaction by going to "Create New Transaction"
Product returns:
Customer Julia bought a dog sweater for her new puppy, unfortunately the sweater is too small and Marianne does not carry bigger sizes. Marianne needs to create a return transaction. To create a return transaction, go to "Create New Transaction", select the product and enter a negative value for quantity.
Data backups:
Marianne likes to keep paper records, she prints out paper copies of all her transactions. In addition, before installing major system upgrades, she also makes digital backups.
To create a backup of product data, go to "Add New Product" > Data > Export
